In order to better understand user wants and preferences, I started the project
by conducting a variety of user research. Acquiring data on the user's preferences and pain issues involved running surveys and user interviews, with current bike rideshare users.
I developed user personas based on this information to reflect the various user types who would use the eCycle service. Placing the wants and preferences of the target audience at the centre of the design decisions, assisted the direction the design process.
After the user research was finished, I started the process of creating a rough layout for the interface using wireframes. This gave me the opportunity to test the basic design on actual users and make the necessary modifications. I developed mockups of the interface using colour, typography, and visual design components after modifying the wireframes in response to user feedback. Users tested the final design to make sure it was user-friendly and intuitive.
